Luggage strap for ezeebike rear racks

$5.00 GST inc.

This is the bungy strap found on ezeebike rear carriers. It is supplied with the ezeebike rear carrier but can be purchased on its own. It is generally not compatible with your average pannier rack unless your original rack came with such a bungy strap. It is compatible with Gazelle and Bakfiets and most Dutch bicycles but also Giant Transend* racks. If you are looking for a luggage strap for conventionl racks then check out our Universal Luggage Strap.

You can hold a surprising amount of luggage down with this strap and a compatible rear carrier. However, you shouldn't use it for your life's favourite possessions, as it is after all, just a stretchy cord. Six pack of beer and some groceries - yes. Your dad in law's laptop - no.

*A note on this bungy strap - it is the correct length for the eZeebike carrier rack and I believe the Gazelle as well. However, it is too long for the Transend rack. In fact, the Transend rack has its bungy strap attachment points unusually high on the rear rack which is what causes their bungy straps to fall off. You can get around this problem with this bungy strap (or the one that the Transend came with if you still have it) by opening up the part of the bungy strap that holds the straps in and feeding some of the strap through (it's just one long strap woven through the holders) until you end up with two shorter straps and one longer strap. The longer one is then useless and unsightly but the two shorter ones will make a more secure fit onto the Giant Transend rack. And no, you can't cut off the longer strap because remember it's just one long piece! You could fold it over and staple it or something to make it look better but remember that it still won't be a useful one for holding down cargo. Or you can get the Universal luggage strap for your Transend.
